Anastasiia Protsenko is a Ukrainian artist who lives and works in Kyiv. In her artistic practice, Anastasiia finds the boundary between abstract and real, reinterpreting images of nature through sculpture. In her art, the artist explores the relationship between nature and industry, reproducing them through abstract forms and materials that are on the brink of waste and art. 
 

She also examines the interplay of light and shadow, the transformative ability of materials, creating unique sculptural compositions. The artist creates her sculptures from industrial metal waste left over from steel casting. Each piece of metal, separated from the whole, is a random abstract detail that combines into complex forms. Her artworks represent a fleeting image of nature, frozen in space and time. Each figure radiates the energy of motion arrested by the oscillation of steel droplets. Each artwork is a combination of the emotions and thoughts of the author, and the form determines the prototype of the future sculpture. 
 

The artist has already created two series of works. One of them is inspired by the work of the prominent Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka. The images she described in her poems became the inspiration for the artist, who brought them to life in the form of sculpture. The second series of artworks by the artist tells about the war of aggression in Ukraine, reflecting the complex contradictions that the author struggles with. She does not focus on conveying natural images, instead emphasizing her own emotions and feelings reflect the interaction of nature and emotions

In her artworks, one can see the interconnection between humans and nature, the reflection of inner states and feelings, as well as the disclosure of social issues. The artist continues to create, constantly developing and improving her artistic style. Anastasiia collects her creations to create a new story and image, in which she sees the boundary between abstraction and reality. Her artworks demonstrate an innovative approach to material and experimentation with creating new forms that reflect the interaction of nature and emotions.
