My painting practice is shaped by a sustained engagement with architectural space, structure, and rhythm. My work explores off-kilter cityscapes and imagined terrains, informed by influences ranging from classical and Renaissance explorations to contemporary design, as well as built environments encountered across different places and cultures. Through these references, she considers how constructed spaces can carry emotional and psychological charge.
I use form, colour, and spatial tension not only as structural tools but as carriers of mood, memory, and meaning. Architectural elements are reduced, shifted, and re-weighted, blurring the line between place and feeling. Rooted in spacial memory and developed through an intuitive process of construction and revision, the paintings present both a compositional conundrum and an emotional encounter, underpinning a distinctive painterly language.
I live and work in the West Country. I have completed an MA in Fine Art with Distinction at Falmouth School of Art in 2023 and have exhibited in selected solo and group exhibitions in the UK and abroad.
