Marie Robinson
Marie's work is contemporary realism in oils, grounded in traditional painting techniques and supported by meticulous observational drawing. She utilises a representational style to capture the texture, material and essence of her subjects, while preserving the tactile quality of oil paint on a flat surface. Marie particularly enjoys creating 'portraits' of often overlooked everyday items, arranging them in deliberately considered, often whimsical, compositions to evoke a sense of daily life, past or present.
Oil painting has been her artistic passion since she first picked up a tube at art school nearly 30 years ago and was smitten!

For the last 23 years Marie’s work has regularly been shown at Affordable Art Fairs in UK and internationally.
She is represented by Wills Art Warehouse, London and Watermill Gallery, Scotland. She is also a member of the prestigious Oxford Art Society.
Marie currently works from her studio in Turville between Marlow & Henley on Thames
