Where The Light Falls explores the quiet atmosphere of domestic interior where light becomes the central subject. Through soft transitions, expressive marks and areas left deliberately unresolved, the painting allows light and atmosphere to carry the image. The work reflects my ongoing interest in the subtle poetry of interior spaces and the way a room can briefly hold a sense of stillness and presence.

The Quiet Hour draws on my interest in the atmosphere of interiors and the subtle drama created by light. Through restrained colour, soft edges and dissolving marks I aimed for light and shadow to carry the painting, creating a feeling of stillness and contemplation within the domestic space.
