Here I explore the interplay between ancient architecture and the subconscious mind, where the concept of a fortress—both physical and psychological—emerges as a recurring theme. The black and white textures of the painting evoke the timelessness of forgotten realms, where labyrinthine passages, once guarded by the secrets of long-lost civilizations, now fade into memory. This work draws inspiration from the mythic and the mysterious: the grand fortified castles and underground palaces that speak to an inner landscape of both construction and destruction.It is both a puzzle and a map: the problem and the solution existing within the same space, suggesting that the answers to the deepest questions of existence are often hidden beneath the surface.
