Arm-knitting using cotton fabric and gauze dyed with natural dyes: avocado stones, birch bark, walnut husks, cutch; fishing wire.

h: 100 w: 120 d: 20 (cms).

These pieces reflect on what the human material is, considering flesh and skin, asking if it would be possible to emulate flesh using vegetable fibre. Are humans that different from plants? Every living being is made out of small particles, cells, interwoven together. These pieces reflect on the fact that there is no definite line between living beings, whether human, animal, or vegetable. The pieces act as a reminder that humans are not that different from more silent beings, questioning the current relationship we, as humans, have towards materials and nonhuman entities. The pieces propose a new consciousness of care towards the nonhuman, understanding that humans are not above other entities, but on the same plane amongst them.
