Uni-Wheel Dog continues my exploration of suspended time, a moment of implied movement held indefinitely in bronze. Borrowing from the language of antique clockwork toys, with exposed seams and articulated joints, the sculpture references an object designed for motion. Here, however, the mechanism remains visible while the action is arrested. Balanced on a single wheel, its foreleg lifted mid-step, the Uni-wheel dog occupies the precise point between propulsion and stillness, precariousness and control. The equilibrium will never resolve; tension is sustained in perpetuity. Echoing early memory, a small, handled form is recast in bronze, a material traditionally associated with monument and legacy. What was once intimate and temporary assumes weight and permanence, leaving a lasting impression that invites viewers to consider their own legacy.

Clockwork Bath Duck transforms a fleeting childhood object into something enduring. Inspired by antique wind-up toys, its segmented body and exposed rivets suggest construction laid bare, an interior logic made visible. A form usually associated with buoyancy, play and impermanence is recast in bronze, a material long linked to commemoration and cultural memory. What would ordinarily drift, bob or be discarded is given weight and gravity. The everyday becomes resolute. Cast with a very light patina, the surface retains warmth while asserting permanence. By elevating a modest, domestic object to the status of sculpture, the work reconsiders what is worthy of preservation, allowing a small, familiar form to claim lasting presence.
