I never expect that inspiration will come to me on a daily basis. I just go to my studio and get myself ready for working hard, and then, in hours, inspiration can come along. But it is never guaranteed. I believe that only hours of hard work and practice help to create something truly inspiring and significant. I also believe that all the artists are responsible for every single brush stroke they have produced and I always aware of what I am bringing to the world within my creativity. Beauty will save the world, and Art is meant to bring the beauty to this world to save it. We artists can do it. I hope I do. Art is that most powerful tool to keep this world in balance and harmony

Arina Gordienko MA, figurative realist painter based in the United Kingdom, is a multi-award winner and finalist of various art contests in the UK, Europe and USA. Her works exhibited at venues such as Saatchi Gallery in London, MEAM - Museum of European Modern Art in Barcelona, Muskegon Museum of Art and Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art in USA, Balinglen Museum of Art in Ireland, Museum of Modern Art Vittoria Colonna in Italy, Museum of Fantastic Art in Austria, and others in the UK, Europe, USA, Russia, Australia, Canada and India. 

Her works are in collections including The Bennett Collection, Gustav Metzger private collection, the OSTEN Museum of Drawing collection, The Peregrine Collection going to land on the Moon on the ‘Peregrine Lunar Lander’ Annex 9 time Astrobotic capsule etc. Her works featured in numerous publications, i.e. Strokes of Genius, American Art Collector, Artists & Illustrators, International Artist, Fine Art Connoisseur, Artists Magazine etc. etc. Arina has academic art education that includes MA in Painting at Chelsea College of Arts, BA in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins College of Arts (both - University of the Arts London, UK), and Diploma with Distinction (Highest score) in Fine Arts at College of Arts in Russia. 

Arina dedicates herself to realistic traditions in painting following the Renaissance Masters’ technique called ‘sfumato’, where tones of colour gradually layer one above another in multiple almost transparent layers that brings to her works a softened or subtle outcome. This old masters classical technique with an infusion of contemporary essence requires her several months to complete one painting. Her personages mainly emerge dramatic – she portrays her characters in the way that is revealing those hidden emotions and feelings that evoke viewers’ emotional response. Her works are emotionally engaging but also they are consistently filled with a philosophical content and a kind of an intellectual riddle that appealing to curious and peculiar minds.
