I am a keen traveller and love walking. My painting reflects this involvement with nature.I want to express the character and atmosphere connected to a place at a particular moment. Reflections are developed back in my studio where paint can be built up, layered, dripped and thrown over canvas. I combine fragments of collage with oil paint. Music influences direction.

I feel that too much reality hinders imagination.

I have a Masters in Fine Art which I completed over two years while teaching in a college in Durham. I am currentlyexhibiting in solo and group shows as well as working with small groups of people from my studio in the New Forest.
