I am a painter printmaker working in oil and mixed media on hand prepared gesso panels, linen canvas, in drawing media and using intaglio methods of printmaking. My work explores human psychology, the mind-body relationship, and our emotional makeup and is set in the context of our physical and metaphorical surroundings.

The figures, animals and objects in my work are powerful and emotive expressions of sensation, beliefs and experiences.

Drawing on everyday personal and contemporary events along with cultural beliefs, I work extensively in sketchbooks and these images are then mined and manipulated to instigate larger work.  Expressive colour, mark making and drawing are paramount in my research and preparation as well as in the finished work.
